I've been in corporate finance since 1997 and consulting since 2011. My experience in boardrooms and deal rooms and my no-nonsense nature pair well with big, hairy, business challenges.
ABOUT ME: Denice M. Sakakeeny
As founder and principal consultant of Denice Sakakeeny & Associates, I apply over 20 years of hands-on, down-and-dirty corporate finance experience to the everyday practice of solving business problems.
I got the start-up bug early, as a financial analyst with Advantage Schools (acquired by Mosaica) in Boston, MA. Sharing an office with the CFO in some Class C office space down by the Boston Garden, I knew then then that my degree in Sociology and African Politics from Brandeis University prepared me poorly for life as a start-up junkie.
Subsequently, I pursued a Master's Degree in Accounting at Suffolk University and went on to hold finance leadership positions at such venture-backed companies as Intronis (acquired by Barracuda), Ordermotion (acquired by NetSuite), and HubX (acquired by SynXis). At Aspen Technology (AZPN) I provided global finance leadership to the $65MM Professional Services business during a backbreaking period of de-listing and re-listing from the Nasdaq. I'm a native New Englander, currently residing in Brookline, Massachusetts. When I'm not working, I can be found at various ponds, rivers, and pools across the region cheering on my son's swimming or rowing teams.
